Well this morning we decided we no longer want to do Zune HD Apps, so regardless of the domain name we are now going to do Android apps. April Fools is right around the corner! Send us an email with some ideas, or things you have seen other sites have done, we wanna get creative with this! If you want post some ideas on the forums and you all can discuss it.

So yes I’ve been busy at work customizing haven’t I? Well now developers if you know of a good youtube video for your app just get the url from youtube, head on over to your post, put it in the youtube field and update your post! It’s as easy as that.

So if you guys hate the whole Zune HD restarting after you exit your app/game now is your chance to throw away that hate! Check out our newest addition to the site, zWAM, it’s created by several developers to hold games and apps from other devs so that it’s all one app. Right now there is maybe a handful of apps/games to choose from inside but don’t be fooled they are working hard to get as many apps as they can in there.

Got a question about becoming a developer here to manage your games? Well we now have a FAQ for that! Just head on over the the FAQ page and scroll down past the Zune HD FAQ and it is right there, it should answer all your questions from becoming one to how to add games here and to update them!

So since we’ve been told our way of adding apps is harder then it should be for devs, I haven’t made that to much easier yet, still working on it, but I have made the update process much easier, as long as you keep the file name the same like I said in the email to the devs. One more reason to keep the name the same, the first reason was so the updater that uses our website doesn’t think it’s a new game. So developers you will now see a “Update Game/App” page under the posts section where you can just upload your game and it will replace the file that’s already there.

I am also doing a overhaul on the download-manager itself to try and simplify it a little bit to just have what we use up there. So in the end it will be as simple as uploading your file, creating your post and adding your file ID, and you are done.

Update: I am also going to try and see how our theme handles the “new” thing you see displayed and try and see if I can make a way for you guys to force it to come up when updated.

Right now to get it to show up as new you just have to change the “Published” date to the current date and it will come up as new and put it to the top of the home page.

Update2: So after a few hours of editing I have made things atleast 99% easier for you guys to manage the games on our site. I’ve made it so you can only see your downloads so you aren’t looking through all the games/apps in the list just to find your ID #, also you will no longer have to delete the game and readd it, that has since been fixed with the ability to just upload a new game with the link under the Posts menu.

So our new forum is up and running, sorry to say all our old forum stuff is gone. But we are starting fresh! The theme is a little rusty but I did the best I could with converting the wordpress theme over to phpbb somewhat. You will notice some colors are still outa whack but I will tweak them up in due time. Anyways if you wanna check it out go to http://games.zhdapps.com/phpbb .

Also on a side note we are still looking over staff apps, this phpbb thing was just taking most of our time at the moment, since it is working we will be contacting everyone soon. Another thing, if you can’t login on the forum, please logout on the main page and back in, that will activate your forum account. If you guys have any problems just shoot us an email!

Well if you might have noticed things aren’t changing much and this is mostly because me and husker have lives and can’t be on here all the time. So now we are reaching out to you guys we need some people to add games that the devs won’t add, we need some people for graphics, we need some people to manage news on the front page. If you are interested please send an email to z...@zhdapps.com, and please include your name and age atleast, depending on which position you are looking to fill I will ask further questions. One thing though, you must have experience working with WordPress(or something similar) because we are based heavily off it.
