So I get a Zune HD in a couple days, so what does that mean, that means I’ll be able to code stuff for zhdapps.com for your Zune HD, what else does that mean, that means with luck I could make it so you could install apps onto your HD without the computer, now wouldn’t that be cool? It will probably take me a couple weeks after I get my zune HD to get a good sense of the openzdk API, but afterwards you can expect some changes to the site, I can’t say what you’ll see change quite yet but once I get a view of things from the Zune HD’s perspective of how our site works on there, things will go from there.
I will probably need some testers for any app I develop for here, or for any website changes that will come. I will probably post stuff on the forums and I might put another news post up, we’ll see, just keep an eye on our fb page to!
It has been a while for anything exciting to come to the zune regarding third party development, but what everyone wanted is now here. Members at www.zuneboards.com have come up with a way to deploy and debug c++ applications and games to/on the Zune HD. With this new “Hack” programmers are allowed to use the Zune HD’s Entire processing power and 3D abilities… And that’ts not all!!
Doom has already been ported to the zune as well as a Gameboy Classic and Gameboy Color Emulator!! Head over to the OpenZDK section to check them out!
